Boy Scout Troop 320 Member Expands Concrete Sidewalk and Sign at Schoolhouse

Thank you to our Sponsors

Dante Thomas of Boy Scout Troop 320 of Marshall has been working this year towards his Eagle Scout Award. His project consisted of expanding the concrete sidewalk and installation of an interpretive sign at the Lyon County School District #80 schoolhouse, located at the Lyon County Fairgrounds.  The schoolhouse is owned and maintained by the Lyon County Historical Society.  This work was completed on August 6 just in time for the Lyon County Fair, and Dante is one step closer to achieving his Eagle Scout rank.

Thank you to Lyon County Historical Society members for donations towards this project.  Thank you to Marshall Machine Shop for donating the sign holder, Western Print Group for donating the graphic sign, and Babcock Construction for their work on the concrete.

For more information on the schoolhouse or project, contact the Lyon County Museum at 507-537-6580 or email director@lyoncomuseum.org
