At its annual membership event on October 31, the Minnesota Automobile Dealers Association (MADA) honored Lockwood Motors with the “Community Heroes Award.” This award celebrates dealerships that go above and beyond- through philanthropy, volunteerism, and partnerships- to make a lasting difference in their local communities.
Lockwood Motors in Marshall, Minnesota has supported over 75 local organizations with hundreds of thousands of dollars of contributions. This includes Prairie Home Hospice, the United Way of Southwest Minnesota, and an endowed scholarship at Southwest Minnesota State University.
“The employees at Lockwood Motors not only give financially, but also volunteer their time, proving that community service is part of who they are,” noted MADA Vice President of Title Solutions Alice Morse when presenting the award.
MADA President Scott Lambert added, “Generosity isn’t just a practice at Lockwood Motors- it’s a tradition. We applaud all that this team does to give back and support its community.”
Chet Lockwood, owner of Lockwood Motors, accepted the award on behalf of his dealership and its employees.
