Northwestern Mutual to host 3rd annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand fundraiser

Northwestern Mutual – Todd Bock’s office at 203 Jewett Street in Marshall – will be hosting
their 3rd annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand fundraiser on Tuesday, August 19th from 11:00 a.m.
to 1:00 p.m.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard
lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted
to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. Her spirit and determination
inspired others to support her cause, and when she passed away at the age of 8, she had
raised $1 million.
The mission of ALSF is to change the lives of children with cancer through funding
impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to
help cure childhood cancer.
This year’s local fundraiser will feature chocolate chip cookies from Little Mill. Little Mill is a
micro bakery specializing in organic sourdough bread and baked goods in Marshall. Your
free-will donation for a cup of lemonade and a chocolate chip cookie will be donated to
ALSF.
To date, Todd’s office has raised $8,835 for ALSF.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is the living embodiment of Alex’s spirit of
determination and hope. Like Alex, we believe that every person can make a difference.
